Introduction:
A CNC router
is a system that requires the ability to cut 4’ x 8’ pieces of wood and fold
and move for storage. The machine precisely cuts wood using a computer to
transmit data.
The material
bed, linear motion, motors, and software will be tested. The final testing
procedure will test the entire system as a whole.
The designer
will test each step in the process.
The testing
takes place in the systems lab. The lab’s conditions relate to the outside
conditions. On average, the lab’s air contains a high salinity and humidity
reading.

· Drawing Files
· Controller software
Testing
Procedures:
1.
Run different drawing files through machine to
test for alignment and precision.
2.
If not accurate, tweak setting in controller
software to allow for backlash and machine habits.
3.
Test files until the machine produced completely
aligned products.
