Specifications and Limitations

The CNC router must be able to cut desired material precisely.

Limitations:

•         The material must be wood or soft plastics.
•         The parts must be optimized to prevent as much backlash as possible.
•         Different parts or software must compensate backlash.

The machine must be able to support 4’x8’ pieces of plywood

Limitations:

• The Table must be larger than 4’x8’ and fit within the desired classroom space.

The CNC router driver motors must work with driver controller

Limitations

•         The wiring between the motors and the controller cannot lie within the cutting area.

The CNC Router needs power.

Limitations:

•         The machine must reside where an outlet is or an appropriate extension cable is used.
•         The extension cable if used must reside away from people for safety.

Intended users must know how to use the router and software.

Limitations:

•         People might not have previous access to such equipment or software.
•         People must spend time to learn how to use the machine before operating.
